George & Lynch built many of the bridges in Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Projects include structures on major highways; pedestrian and golf cart paths; and conduits to carry overhead utilities. Many bridges in the Delmarva region are single span, composed of either precast or cast-in-place concrete.

George & Lynch also contracts to build multiple span projects. Other local contractors subcontract these specialized structures to us.

We efficiently complete these projects using our skills in structure demolition, sheet and pile driving, concrete construction and hot-mix asphalt paving.

Road projects top the list of types of construction George and Lynch have completed.

Many municipalities and clients think of George & Lynch as a “highway” contractor, even though we have become much more diversified in the past 25 years. The company has made a focused effort to capture its share of the road building market in the past several years. G&L has partnered with River Asphalt LLC. We can boast that our crews have as much, or more, hot-mix asphalt placement and rotomilling experience as anyone in the region. Supervisors maintain certification for traffic safety in Delaware and Maryland.

Notable projects include construction of SR-1 south of Dover and reconstruction of I-95 from Wilmington to the Pennsylvania line. We also are awarded contracts for pavement and rehab projects throughout Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
